Mr. Yinka Sanni: Chairman

Mr. Sanni has over 26 years’ experience in the financial services sector and is currently the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC. Prior to this he served as the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, Deputy Chief Executive of the Bank and Executive Director, Corporate & Investment Banking of the Bank. He was also the pioneer Chief Executive, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited and the pioneer Chief Executive, Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited.

Mr. Yinka Sanni graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a Bachelors in Agricultural Economics and has an MBA from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He has also undertaken the Harvard Business School, Boston, Advanced Management Programme and he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria.

Mr. Oladele Sotubo: Chief Executive

Oladele Sotubo was appointed as the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited(SIAML) on 11 February 2019. He joined Stanbic IBTC in 2001 and has over 20 years cognate experience spanning Investment Banking, Investment Management, Capital Market Operations and other financial services. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive(SIAML), he was the Executive Director - Investments, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited where he was responsible for managing pension assets in excess of N2.7 trillion. He has also served in other capacities as the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited; Nigeria’s largest Stockbroking firm in terms of transaction value.

He holds a degree in Economics from the Lagos State University as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Calabar, Cross River State. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and an authorized dealing clerk of The Nigerian Stock Exchange. Oladele also served as a member of the Council of the Nigerian Stock Exchange from 2012 -2014

Mr. Shuaib Audu

Mr. Audu holds an MBA from the University of Oxford (St. Hugh’s College) UK. He also holds an MSc. in International Securities, Investment & Banking from ICMA Centre, Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK and; a B.A. (Hons) degree in Business Economics from Leicester University, UK.

With over 10 years extensive Investment Banking experience in Treasury/Global Markets, Venture Capital, Proprietary and Principal Investments; and Investment Management expertise in both the pension and non-pension businesses, Mr. Audu was the immediate-past head of the investment management division of the company with broad responsibilities for formulating and executing investment strategies for the several portfolios managed by Stanbic IBTC Asset Management.

Mr Audu is also a Director of Stanbic IBTC Investments Limited and Stanbic IBTC Ventures Limited.

Mr. Babalola Obilana

Mr. Obilana is an experienced professional with well over 15 years work experience in the financial services Industry. A self-driven leader with strong sales, marketing and presentation skills; Mr. Obilana has demonstrated a high level of success in leading the Business Development Division of the Company to achieve outstanding results. His experience also covers the pension industry where he grew a retail customer base business from start up to over 180,000 pension clients across the country and successfully managed strong relationships with both public and private sector institutions with pension fund assets over N50 Billion. Mr. Obilana holds a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife.

Mrs. Olufunke Amobi

Mrs. Amobi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Lagos and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Lancaster United Kingdom. She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychology of Organisational Development and Change from the University of Bedfordshire UK as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Talent & Career Management from the University of Surrey UK.

Prior to her appointment as the head of Human Capital of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC in December 2013, she was the General Manager - Organisational & Talent Development Team of MTN Nigeria Communications Limited; Senior Manager - Learning and Development for MTN Nigeria Communications Limited (2006-2008); Group Head Human Capital Management of Unity Bank PLC (2004-2006).

Mrs. Amobi is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Nigeria Institute of Training and Development Nigeria and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development UK. She has attended various trainings within and outside Nigeria and bagged several awards in the course of her educational pursuit

Mrs. Ifeoma Lilian Esiri

Mrs Ifeoma Lilian Esiri is a Legal Practitioner with over 25 years experience. She is currently the Managing Partner of the law firm of Lilian Esiri and Co. which focuses on Capital Market activities, Mergers and Acquisition, as well as Corporate and Commercial Law. 

She is also a Non Executive Director of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC and Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC and holds an LLB and LLM from the London School of Economics & Political Science.

Mr. Eric Fajemisin

Mr. Fajemisin holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics-Philosophy-Economics, as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lagos. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.  He has over 25 years’ experience in banking and financial services, spanning Investment Banking, Multilateral Sector Financing, Debt Syndication, Equity Placement, Financial Advisory, and Pension Fund Portfolio Management. Mr Fajemisin is also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Stanbic IBTC Trustees Limited.

Prof. Yinka David-West

Prof. Yinka David-West is a Senior Fellow, Information Systems/Academic Director at the Lagos Business School (LBS). She is a member of the LBS Management Board and Academic Director at the School and the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC). Prof. David-West currently directs the Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Financial Services (SIDFS) Initiative of the Lagos Business School. SIDFS works with donors such as Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Mastercard Foundation on initiatives that enhance the creation and delivery of Digital Financial Services as well as enhancement of entrepreneurship in Nigeria.

Prof. David-West holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Manchester Business School; an MSc in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University, London; and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Lagos. She has also completed the General Management Programme of the School of Hotel Administration, Cornell University as well as the Senior Management Programme of the Lagos Business School. She is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), and the academic advocate to the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). She is also a qualified practitioner of the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), and a digital money specialist certified by Digital Frontiers Institute and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

Mr. Akeem Oyewale

Mr. Akeem Oyewale is a Non-Executive Director of Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited. He is also the Head of Global Markets Sales in Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, and Director of Equities Brokerage in the Standard Bank Group.

He holds an MBA from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom and a B. Sc (Hons) degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, and also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He is an Arthur Andersen scholar.

He has close to 15 years extensive Investment Banking experience and a vast experience in Credit/Marketing and Trade Finance, which involves structuring short and medium term facilities. He also managed the Stanbic IBTC Nigerian Equity Fund, Nigeria’s largest mutual fund and was responsible for the launch of the Stanbic IBTC Ethical Fund.

Previously the CEO of Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited, Mr. Oyewale was nominated as “Young Manager of the Year in Nigeria” at the prestigious ThisDay Annual Awards 2006.

Mr. Oyewale was also the pioneer CEO of Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited from 2009 to January 2012.
